What is Big Data in Economic and Social Analytics?

Studies in the field of Big Data in economic and social analytics open the door to a world where modern technologies meet the analysis of massive data sets. Behind the scenes of this fascinating domain are complex machine learning algorithms, neural networks, image and speech recognition, natural language processing, expert systems, and statistical methods. Students acquire skills in programming, data analysis, research project management, and visualization of research results.

What will you learn?

You will learn how to use artificial intelligence in business research, analyze data using Big Data techniques, design socio-economic research, and analyze behavioral data. The program also covers effective team management, working with real-world data, designing, creating, and managing databases, as well as analyzing, forecasting, and designing economic and social processes for both business and public administration.

We offer two specialization modules:

1. Big Data Analytics – Programming and Research Design

Students of this specialization gain advanced knowledge in computer science, programming, and research design. The focus is on practical skills in programming languages such as Python and R, as well as on designing and conducting research using modern tools and technologies. The curriculum also includes data exploration, creation of predictive and simulation models, and emphasizes the practical application of theoretical knowledge in individual research projects.

2. Interpretation and Analysis of Social and Economic Data

This specialization focuses on developing skills in interpreting and analyzing data within the socio-economic environment. Students gain practical knowledge in behavioral data analysis, designing socio-economic research, and using statistical and econometric methods to interpret results. The program also addresses topics in social communication, the applicability of analytical results for business purposes, and skills in presenting research findings both to specialists and business decision-makers.

Where can you work after graduation?
