What is English Philology?

English Philology is more than gaining language proficiency; it’s an exploration of literature, and an understanding of historical and cultural context which shapes the Anglo-Saxon world. Philology involves studying the English language in its various aspects, from grammar structure to the evolution of the English language throughout the centuries. Students delve into the secrets of linguistic communication, while developing their ability to analyze British and American literature. Additionally, English Philology provides a comprehensive exploration of the English-speaking cultures, which includes customs, values, art, and history. It analyzes the influence of literature on shaping culture and vice versa.
